John Macintosh Hall | Mice For Gibraltar

John Macintosh Hall:

Located at 308 Main Street, the John Mackintosh Hall opened in 1964 and is Gibraltar’s main cultural centre.

Named after philanthropist John Mackintosh (1865–1940), it was founded through his bequest to promote education and cultural ties with the UK.

Built in a Mediterranean style on the site of the old Grand Stores, it now houses Gibraltar Cultural Services and hosts over 100 events each year.

Theatre

The John Mackintosh Hall's theatre is a vibrant centre with a theatre and several rooms for events, meetings, and exhibitions.

Board Room

Capacity: 12 Seated

A small, modern meeting space located on the top floor of the John Mackintosh Hall — ideal for executive meetings and private discussions.

Charles Hunt Room

Capacity: 100 Max - (Theatre Layout) - Area: 72m2

Named after Charles Hunt, the first Director of the John Mackintosh Hall, this is the largest meeting room in the facility. Ideal for lectures and presentations.

Lecture Room

Capacity: 50 (Theatre Layout) - Area 46m2

An ideal room to cater for meetings, lectures, and presentations.

Studio Room

Capacity: 12 Max

A small meeting room situated on the ground floor of the John Mackintosh Hall.

Capacity: 60 Max - Area 49m2 (Room A) & 46m2 (Room B)

An exhibition space with two separate adjoining rooms located on the ground floor of the John Mackintosh Hall.

Lower Exhibition Room

Capacity: 60 Max - Area 84m2

A popular gallery space located on the ground floor of the John Mackintosh Hall. This facility is located next to the cafeteria and is used for many types of exhibitions.

Upper Exhibiton Room

Capacity: 60 Max - Area 68m2

An exhibition space located on the first floor of the John Mackintosh Hall.
